NEW ORLEANS – Magnificent balloon sculptures, inflated red carpet fashion and the most humorous balloon entertainers on earth will grace the New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel at the Festival of Balloons on Sunday, April 10, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the biannual Festival of Balloons.
Large balloon sculptures, balloon couture and other inflated works of art will be available for festival attendees to view and photograph. In addition to the balloon creations, the Festival of Balloons will feature balloon entertainers, interactive balloon demonstrations and people draped in balloon costumes. Balloon entertainers will also provide hands-on demonstrations detailing how to twist balloons into fun characters.
The 2016 Festival of Balloons will feature life-sized balloon cars, balloon superheroes and lively balloon animation. Balloon characters and entertainers will greet eager attendees as they cross the unique air-filled archway leading to the magical world of balloons. One room will be entirely dedicated to balloon-themed art that guests can touch and photograph. Another room will feature enormous balloon sculptures, and a third hall will host live balloon entertainment on stage.
The Festival of Balloons, which displays the balloon sculptures created during the four-day long World Balloon Convention, is the culmination of the international conference where the public is invited to view the fascinating balloon art.
