Fairfield Inn And Suites To Celebrate $10M Renovations With Ribbon Cutting, Second Line

NEW ORLEANS – Following a $10 million total renovation, the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 346 Baronne St., will commemorate its opening with a Second Line and ribbon cutting celebration on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

         The Second Line parade will form at Canal and Baronne Streets at 10:45 a.m. and parade to the doors of the completely renovated hotel. At 11:00 a.m., officials will cut a hand-crafted “ribbon” made from Mardi Gras beads by local artist Debra Baynham.

         City and tourism officials, executives from New Castle Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels are scheduled to attend.

         The 103-suite hotel is the first of its brand in the city of New Orleans and preserves many of the characteristics of the original 1910 Interstate Electric Company building.
