COVINGTON, La. — Eye Wares will host a grand-opening celebration on Friday, April 12 in the Copperstill Marketplace at the corner of Highway 1077 and Highway 1085 in Covington.
The is the fourth location of an eyewear retailer founded by optometrist Lauren Agnew, a Louisiana native. The other three storefronts are in New Orleans, Metairie and Mandeville. The business has been operational for two decades.
Eye Wares offers eye exams, contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, and medical treatment for eye conditions. Each location features an optical store with a selection of independent and designer frames and sunglasses.
“We’re excited about our new Covington location with state-of-the-art equipment like our spa room to treat dry eyes,” said Agnew in a press release. “More stores are planned, and we are working with Gulf States Real Estate Services to help identify those now.”
“We are very happy that Dr. Agnew chose our center to serve the residents of West St. Tammany and East Tangipahoa Parishes,” said Mike Saucier, managing partner of Copperstill Marketplace and president of the Gulf States companies. “After visiting her other stores, it was an easy decision to have Eye Wares join our existing excellent tenant mix to round out this food and service-oriented project.”
