METAIRIE, LA – The physicians of Eyecare Associates announced the addition of G. Kevin Kasovich, O.D. to the Eyecare team.
Dr. Kasovich graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 2000, and from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2004 and completed a pathology residency at The Omni Eye Center in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Kasovich comes to Eyecare Associates from Chiasson Eyecare Center is Raceland, LA, where he was an Associate Optometrist from 2005 through September of 2016. He was named the 2013 Louisiana Optometry Association Young Optometrist of the Year and is currently serving as the president of the Optometric Association of Louisiana.
Dr. Kasovich is a third generation Optometrist, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, George Stumpf, Sr., and his uncle, Dr. Chuck Stumpf. He is a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base, 307th Bomb Wing, providing ocular care to B-52 pilots and crew.
Appointments will be available with Dr. Kasovich all day on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings only.
Dr. Chuck Stumpf will be semi-retiring effective October 1. He will be in the office weekly on Monday and Tuesday and will be transitioning patients to Dr. Kasovich. New patients, patients who cannot schedule appointments on either a Monday or Tuesday and patients who choose not to wait for an appointment with Dr. Stumpf, can be scheduled with Dr. Kasovich.
