StartUp Northshore will host “Raising the Round,” a small-business workshop focused on preparing startups for equity fundraising, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Palette Northshore, 201 Holiday Blvd., Suite 200, Covington. Speaker Ricco Mendes will discuss how investors evaluate startups, structure deals and assess valuation, as well as how entrepreneurs can prepare for a successful equity fundraising process. The workshop is part of the August SSBCI Workshop series presented with Louisiana Economic Development and LA.IO. Registration is available through StartUp Northshore.
