Event Company Plans Drive-In Screening of ‘Grease’ on the Lake

METAIRIE – Fans of 50s nostalgia will be shouting “tell me more” when they hear news that Z Events will be screening the 1978 classic film Grease at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22 at the Bucktown Marina Lot on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

The company said the event is a way to promote safe family fun while still getting out the house and being social from a safe distance.

Entry to the Bucktown Marina Lot opens at 6 p.m. and all cars must enter and be parked by 7:30 p.m.

Food will be available. Pre-orders are recommended. Pickup, with social distancing measures and masks required, will be available at the food trucks onsite. All onsite transactions will be cashless.

Food and beverages will be available starting at 6 p.m. All safe practices in regard to COVID-19 rules will apply for this date and event.

The screening will begin at 8 p.m.. Ticket pricing is $15 per person (everyone in the vehicle is required to purchase a ticket)

Sound will be provided via an FM transmitter thru your car radio, viewing will be on a 40-foot screen

Attended bathroom facilities will be available.
