NEW ORLEANS – Jeremy Thibodeaux CPA, CFE has been appointed to Greater New Orleans, Inc.’s NextGen Council, an initiative of GNO, Inc. designed to introduce new leadership into the organization, with the intent of benefiting from the energy and ideas of emerging regional leaders and developing leaders for the region. Details were shared in a press release.
Thibodeaux serves as a partner in Ericksen Krentel’s Accounting and Audit Services Section, where he oversees the quality and timeliness of services to many of the firm’s audit clients with a focus on nonprofits.
During his career, Thibodeaux has performed audits dealing with a variety of entities in industries such as governmental, nonprofit, construction, retail, hospitality, tourism and professional services. Thibodeaux leads the firm’s growth strategies as they relate to accounting and audit services, including a focus on implementing new processes, such as data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, to provide further value for clients. He also created the firm’s Performance and Career Excellence (PACE) program to enhance staff recruitment and professional development.
Thibodeaux recently completed a two-year term as chairman of French Quarter Festivals, Inc., where he has been a board member for the past eight years. He also is a member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners – he is a past board member of each organization’s New Orleans chapter – and of the American Institute of CPAs.
He earned his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut, his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University New Orleans. Thibodeaux also recently completed the Data Analytics Certificate Program at Cornell University.
