Ericksen Krentel Announces 3 Promotions

NEW ORLEANS – Ericksen Krentel announced the following promotions:

 

• Jeremy Thibodeaux CPA, CFE has been promoted to senior manager from manager in the firm’s accounting and audit services section, where he oversees the quality and timeliness of services to many of the firm’s audit clients with a focus on not-for-profits.

         During his career, Thibodeaux has performed audits dealing with a variety of entities in industries such as governmental, construction, retail, hospitality, tourism and professional services. He also has extensive experience in auditing employee benefit plans in accordance with DOL and ERISA guidelines and auditing governmental and not-for-profit entities in accordance with the Uniform Guidance. Thibodeaux also leads the firm’s growth strategies as they relate to A&A services and created the firm’s performance and career excellence (PACE) program to encourage and enhance staff recruitment and professional development.

         Thibodeaux serves as chairman of French Quarter Festivals Inc. and is a past board member of the New Orleans chapters of the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

         Thibodeaux earned his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut, his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University.

• Kelly Haden CPA, CGMA has been promoted to manager from supervisor in the firm’s tax services section. Haden focuses on tax compliance and small business consulting among various industries, including, but not limited to, construction, maritime, nonprofit, professional services and real estate. She has extensive knowledge in taxation, including preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, trust and nonprofit returns and compliance with multistate regulations. Haden has experience in providing successful resolution of tax matters with the IRS and various state revenue offices.

         She is president of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance-New Orleans Chapter, chairwoman of the Society of Louisiana CPAs’ Career Awareness Committee, past national president of Kappa Gamma Pi (the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society), a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

         Haden earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Holy Cross.

 

• Kevin Kavanaugh CPA has been promoted to senior accountant from staff accountant in the firm’s accounting and audit services section. Kavanaugh focuses on audit, review, compilation and other assurance engagements for industries including insurance, governmental, not-for-profit, shipping, construction, employee benefit plans, restaurant, hotel and legal services.

         Kavanaugh completed the pre-CPA program at the University of New Orleans and earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University.
