Wednesdays at the Square brings top local artists and vendors into Downtown’s Lafayette Square for 10 weeks every spring — this year through May 8. What does it take to put on this type of “mini festival” every week and what impact does it have? Young Leadership Council’s new Executive Director, Allison Hotard, and Board Member and Event Co-Chair (with Emad Jabbar), Erica Sensenbrenner, share all the details.

Allison Hotard, YLC executive director

Allison Hotard holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Loyola University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism from the University of New Orleans. Her professional journey includes significant roles at Greater New Orleans, Inc., and Loyola University of New Orleans, where she showcased her expertise in alumni relations and development strategies.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Hotard’s diverse skill set includes fundraising, event planning and volunteer coordination. She is also an active volunteer in the community, contributing her time and talents to local initiatives and organizations.

Erica Sensenbrenner – YLC board member and co-chair of Wednesdays at the Square

Erica Sensenbrenner is an attorney at Adams and Reese LLP. Her practice focuses on education law and policy, board governance and commercial litigation.  A New Orleans native, Sensenbrenner graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Political Communication, and she earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. During her time at Loyola, she was editor-in-chief of the Loyola Law Review. Prior to joining Adams and Reese, Sensenbrenner served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lance M. Africk of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
