NEW ORLEANS – Since launching in fall 2014, the third Thursday of each month has become a foodie fete at Emeril’s Restaurant, the home of Chef de Cuisine David Slater’s Omagasse – a one-of-a-kind, multi-course dining experience, available only at the restaurant’s lively eat-in bar.
On Thursday, August 20, 2015, Chef Slater will team up with Two Run Farm to host a five-course off-menu tasting showcasing the sustainable meats the Mississippi-based farm has become known for.
“We’re big fans of Two Run Farm and I’m excited for this dinner.” Slater said. “They take pride in their free-range and grain-fed pigs, cattle and sheep and their high standards are on par with what we adhere to at Emeril’s. Partnering with them for Omagasse was a natural.”
A play on the Japanese style of dining, Omakase – which translates to “I’ll leave it to you” – gives Slater the opportunity to create playful off-menu dishes utilizing the freshest local ingredients available that day.
The Two Run Farm Omagasse is priced at $65 per person, with an optional wine pairing for $45 (exclusive of tax and gratuity).
Omagasse is available during dinner hours at the eat-in bar only and guests are encouraged to make reservations in advance.
