November 2014

Q: How were you inspired to start your business?

- Sponsors -

I am results-oriented. I come from the fitness industry, where clients don’t always want to do the work, but they want the results. This felt like a natural fit for me.

Q: What were the biggest obstacles and how were they overcome?

Finding the location, making the financing happen, and getting the build-out done. That was an amazing learning experience.

Q: What local resources have you used?

Waxing The City carries a local product line, Kismet Cosmetics, out of Covington. It’s an amazing product line we brought to corporate’s attention. Nationally, the studios carry Kismet’s lip scrubs, lipsticks, and bronzing lotion. We’re really proud of that!

Q: What is your big focus right now?

Getting systems in place so my team knows what’s happening and what to do next (and me too!)

Q: What is the best advice you ever received?

Always do your best work. Even if you don’t agree with the task, do it to the best of your ability. People notice what you do.

Q: What success have you had in the last year?

Healthy business growth by focusing on the client experience. You don’t have to be perfect. Your clients simply need to feel that exceeding their expectations is the most important thing to your team, and they stay with you.

Q: What else do you want people to know about your business?

Waxing is a service that provides a great result, but clients can be a bit apprehensive. I love providing a great place for my team to provide great experiences and results for our clients. It’s the best place I’ve ever worked.
