NEW ORLEANS – El Paso Mexican Grill will celebrate one full year in business at its 601 Veterans Blvd. location on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
The growing, family-run, regional chain prides itself on authentic, third generation family recipes and a long list of fresh, innovative and seasonal margaritas, restaurant reps said. El Paso is no stranger to celebration, they said. Their Cinco De Mayo celebrations have become a well-loved annual tradition across the region.

As the celebration moves into the evening, El Paso will feature free tastings from regional distributors from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Glazer starts things off with wine and Patron tastings from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. National joins the celebration at 6:00 p.m. to sample tequilas from the Jose Cuervo family, Southern Eagle samples Budweiser from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Modelo from 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tastings are for patrons 21 and older.
New Orleans R&B, Blues and Oldies original hipsters, The Quarter Notes, will entertain guests with its catalog of New Orleans classics during the event from 6:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
El Paso Metairie will also be giving away birthday margaritas. Guests 21 years of age and older will receive a complimentary small house Margarita on the rocks with the purchase of any entrée – a gift to the people of Metairie who have, in just one short year, made El Paso their staple for quality Mexican food and good times, restaurant reps said.
