Ecole Bilingue Announces New Orleans Expansion, Debuts New Hall

NEW ORLEANS – Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans, New Orleans’ only private, accredited French school, will open their new Fabian Hall at the start of the 2015-16 school year on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 9:30 a.m., at 821 General Pershing in New Orleans.

         It has been a long term goal of Ecole Bilingue’s Board of Directors to consolidate the campuses, modernize the facilities and increase enrollment.  In furtherance of this goal, Ecole Bilingue entered into in a long-term lease with St. Henry’s, securing three buildings for this purpose. The former church rectory, located across the street from the elementary school, was completely renovated. The 6,000 square-foot building and surrounding property has become a learning center containing a new library, science laboratory, art/ music room, and green space for school-wide use. It also includes additional classroom space for Ecole Bilingue’s middle school.

         The new learning center has been named Fabian Hall in recognition of Ecole Bilingue’s founder and first Principal, Julie Fabian.

         Founded in 1998, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans serves more than 235 students from 18 months of age through 7th grade. Ecole Bilingue follows the French National Curriculum and is the only private French immersion schools in New Orleans that is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. The school’s experienced teachers come from France, Canada, Africa and the United States. Ecole Bilingue has a proud tradition of providing students with an education that is distinguished by its unique academic approach and supported by a robust and richly diverse student body.
