SLIDELL, La. — Donald “Don” Shea has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce.
“We are fortunate to have Don join the Chamber family as our new CEO,” stated Chairwoman 2018 Victoria Langlinais. “He has a great vision for the future of our organization. Don’s extensive experience with economic development, strategic planning, and program implementation will help guide our organization into an even brighter future.”
Shea, a Massachusetts native, has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of City Planning degree from Harvard University in Cambridge. He has spent the last 30 years of his career working in the Economic Development field in Massachusetts, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. Most recently, Shea was the Director of Business Services at the Louisiana Workforce Commission serving St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes.
“I have enjoyed being a member of this Chamber over the last couple of years and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as the new CEO,” said Don Shea. “I look forward to working with the staff and the Board of Directors to create new and exciting programs for our members.”
