Due To High Demand, Baker Donelson Offers Additional 2015 FLSA Changes Webinar

NEW ORLEANS – Due to overwhelming interest, Baker Donelson is offering an additional webinar on the proposed new overtime regulations called “Tight Around the ‘White’ Collar – The Proposed New Overtime Regulations.”

The Department of Labor has dramatically increased the number of employees who must be paid on an hourly basis. Previously, employees who earned $455.00 per week (or $23,660.00 per year) could qualify for exempt status. Now, the DOL has increased the threshold for exempt status to $50,440.00 per year. This increase will cause a number of employees who have previously been classified as exempt to be non-exempt, meaning they must now be paid on an hourly basis.

The complimentary webinar on these new regulations will show how to comply, plan, budget and prepare for the changes. Participants will learn how to best implement these changes in their companies.
