JACKSON, MS (AP) — Drago's Seafood Restaurant opens this week at the Hilton Jackson, in its first venture outside the New Orleans area.
The Clarion-Ledger’s Sherry Lucas reports the 400-seat restaurant settles into the building that most recently housed Huntington's Grille, made over in a $2.5 million, four-month renovation of the 9,700-square-foot space. It opens to the public Wednesday.
The Jackson site will be Drago's third location. The other sites are in Metairie, Louisiana, and at Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
Drago's is home of the original charbroiled oysters. The restaurant was founded by the Cvitanovich family in 1969.
