NEW ORLEANS — The Skin Surgery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility in both Metairie, Mandeville, and Biloxi for surgical and cosmetic treatments to maximize the health and appearance of skin, is pleased to announce the addition of New Orleans native Dr. Corey Rougelot to the team effective in August. Dr. Rougelot will work with patients at all three Skin Surgery Centre locations.
Dr. Rougelot is currently scheduling patients at the Metairie, Mandeville, and Biloxi offices for appointments starting in mid-August.
The Skin Surgery Centre specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction as well as the latest minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, including botulinum toxins, soft-tissue fillers, chemical peels, and anti-aging skin care regimens.
Dr. Rougelot was born in New Orleans and grew up in Covington, Louisiana, where he attended St. Paul’s School. He completed his undergraduate education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He received his Medical Doctorate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans where he held various leadership positions within his class and with the Louisiana State Medical Society.
Dr. Rougelot completed his internal medicine internship at Ochsner Medical Center and his dermatology residency at Tulane University where he was appointed Chief Resident of Dermatologic Surgery and Cosmetics. After residency, Dr. Rougelot completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Dermatology Associates of Birmingham with world-renowned Mohs surgeon Dr. Gary Monheit.
Dr. Rougelot is excited to return home to serve patients across the gulf coast along with Drs. Keith LeBlanc and Elizabeth Bucher at The Skin Surgery Centre.
