Downtown Development District Announces New Members

NEW ORLEANS – The Downtown Development District (DDD) has welcomed Jim Cook to the DDD Board of Commissioners. Cook is currently the general manager at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. Cook has held general manager roles at former Starwood Hotels in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Hyannis, Massachusetts. He also currently serves as president of the Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association .

         Jonique A. Johnson as been hired as the new executive administration assistant. Johnson will be the direct assistant to the president and CEO. Before joining the DDD, Johnson served in similar roles at Tulane University, Delgado Community College and Rice University. Johnson is a native New Orleanian and is married with one son.
