NEW ORLEANS – The National Food and Beverage Foundation (NatFAB) will host the next in its Contemporary Issues in Food & Drink lecture series presented by Domino Foods and the kick-off to the Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB) 10th Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the New Orleans Jazz Market, 1436 Oretha C. Haley Blvd., from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The first in a series of events and programming to celebrate SoFAB’s 10th anniversary, the evening will feature the keynote lecture “Why SoFAB? Why New Orleans?” by acclaimed restaurateur Dickie Brennan.
Also speaking that night will be writer and cocktail enthusiast, Nancylee Myatt, covering food and drink in New Orleans, and Butler Burdine, chairman of NatFAB speaking on the future of NatFAB. Additionally, the evening will honor the latest additions to the National Culinary Heritage Register: Dooky Chase’s Restaurant, Rouses, Luzianne Coffee and Tea, Domino Sugar, Steen’s Syrup, and Wayne Jacob’s Smokehouse. The foundation will also be announcing the dedication of the Paul Prudhomme Culinary Archive within the John & Bonnie Boyd Hospitality & Culinary Library.
