Deveney Hires Eileen Angelico as Senior Account Executive

NEW ORLEANS – Eileen Angelico has joined Deveney as a senior public relations account executive. Angelico has more than 30 years of experience in strategic communication at the national level. In her new role, she will play a key role on the agency’s award-winning crisis response team and strategic communication program.

Prior to joining Deveney, Angelico served as chief of the office of public affairs for the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. That agency oversees energy exploration, development, and production on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf. Her work included leading the government regulator’s media response to the nation’s largest environmental disaster: the BP oil spill.

“Six years ago, governmental leaders called one of the region’s top senior marketing leaders to serve at the national level for important work that needed a sure and expert hand,” said John Deveney, president of Deveney. “Our team is delighted to have Eileen return to her home state to use her now expanded and further developed expertise to benefit our clients. A Metairie native, Angelico previously worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs and oversaw the rebuilding of veteran healthcare services in New Orleans following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Angelico holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and master’s degree in journalism degree from Louisiana State University.
