COVINGTON, LA (AP) — Developers are hoping that a planned 92-acre business park on the North Shore will become the central business district of St. Tammany Parish.
New Orleans CityBusiness’ Lance Traweek reports that Versailles Business Park will be located on the northwest corner of Interstate 12 and Highway 190 in Covington.
Michael Saucier, president of Gulf States, which is managing the development, says the location is the central focal point of the area from both a transportation and geographic standpoint.
Once completed, the $200 million business hub will include 16 lots housing retail, residential, medical offices and other office space.
Some lots have pre-sales pending, while the rest are being marketed to potential tenants and developers.
Construction is scheduled to begin in July. The expected completion date is the first quarter of 2016.
