Deutsches Haus To Partner With Jonathan Ferrara Gallery To Celebrate German Art, Culture

NEW ORLEANS – Through Saturday, February 13, 2016, the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, 400 Julia St., will be exhibiting the works of eight German artists, and Berlin/Leipzig gallery owner Jochen Hempel will be on-hand for a special reception on Thursday, January 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Dubbed "Kultur Abend" and cosponsored by Deutsches Haus, the free event will feature German music, culture and Berlin inspired food with beer donated by Warsteiner, along with the work of eight artists whose work regularly hangs in Hempel's gallery.

"We're delighted to be a part of this cultural exchange, the first of its kind in New Orleans," said Theresa Crosby, executive director of Deutsches Haus. "We appreciate the Jonathan Ferrara Gallery inviting us to be a part of this tremendous project, and our members are very excited to participate."
