NEW ORLEANS – Michael T. Amy has joined Deutsch Kerrigan, L.L.P. as an Associate in the Marine and Energy department.
Amy attended Tulane University Law School where he earned a Master of Laws in Admiralty, with Distinction. During his time at Tulane Law, he received two CALI Excellence For The Future Awards in recognition for obtaining the highest grade in Admiralty: Regulation of Shipping and Admiralty: Vessel Documentation & Finance. He was also selected to serve as a member of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and was chosen as the winner of the 2015 Maynard Cooper & Gale Admiralty Writing Competition.
Amy works alongside businesses in the marine and energy industry defending them against insurance coverage claims. As a maritime attorney, Amy takes pride in instilling confidence and providing reassuring guidance to his maritime clients, firm reps said.
