Delgado To Host Global Media Consultant, Author Of Acclaimed Memoir ‘Finding Samuel Lowe’

NEW ORLEANS – The Delgado Community College City Park Campus will host an evening with Paula Williams Madison, author of the acclaimed memoir “Finding Samuel Lowe: China, Jamaica, Harlem,” on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., at Isaac Delgado Hall, 615 City Park Ave. in New Orleans.

         The evening will include a screening of the documentary film that complements the book, a talk by the author and a book-signing.

         This will be the first event to take place in the newly rebuilt and refurbished Delgado Theater inside Isaac Delgado Hall, and it is the theater’s official Grand Opening. The event will also serve as the kick-off event for National Diversity Month at Delgado Community College.

         “Finding Samuel Lowe: China, Jamaica, Harlem,” is the moving story of former television executive Paula Williams Madison, a Jamaican-American woman who went in search of her mother’s father, Samuel Lowe, and discovered her own Chinese roots. With a conclusion both surprising and life-affirming, “Finding Samuel Lowe” tells a compelling story about race, family, fate and destiny.

         Paula Williams Madison is Chairman and CEO of Madison Media Management LLC, a division of Williams Group Holdings LLC, a Chicago-based investment company. They manage such companies as The Africa Channel. 

         Madison is also vice president of the Los Angeles Police Commission.
