NEW ORLEANS – The Delgado Community College Foundation will host the 2016 Roast of the Town fundraising event on Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Harrah’s New Orleans Theater, 8 Canal St., New Orleans. Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships and programs at Delgado Community College.
The event will roast Stephen Perry, President and CEO of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. Roasters will include Ron Forman, Michael Hecht, Steve Pettus and Doug Thornton.
Eric Paulsen, WWL-TV news anchor, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The evening will include a reception and silent auction beginning at 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner, the roast and a live auction. A $10,000 raffle will be held for the purchase of $100 per ticket.
Restaurants and food service providers participating in the event include 12 Seasons, Acme Oyster House, Centerplate of New Orleans, Delgado Culinary Arts, Drago’s, John Besh Steakhouse in Harrah’s, Mellow Mushroom-Metairie, Republic, Ruth’s Chris New Orleans and Trinchero Family Estates.
Attendees must be 21 or older.
