NEW ORLEANS — Delgado Community College is offering more than 100 classes through its Second Start program, which provides students who missed the start date for the Spring 2016 semester additional time to prepare, enroll and register for classes.
Students still have time to apply for financial aid, take a placement test if necessary and enroll for classes that begin on March 14.
Delgado is offering about half the Second Start classes in classroom settings at the City Park Campus, West Bank Campus, Northshore-Slidell and Sidney Collier.
Other Second Start classes are offered online. Accounting, algebra, business, English, history, music, psychology—these and others are among the online classes.
Delgado faculty members teach all Second Start classes, including online classes.
Second Start classes are taught over eight weeks instead of 16. Similar to a summer term, they are compressed and move at a faster pace. Current, former and new Delgado students may all enroll through Second Start.
Applications for admission and financial aid are being accepted now, and placement tests are available.
Students can pay their tuition and fees with a convenient installment plan and register online February 3 through March 11.
