NEW ORLEANS – Students in Delgado Community College’s Business Studies Department now have a new, faster way to complete degrees in accounting, business administration or business and management.
Beginning in the Fall 2017 semester, Delgado business students can complete their degree fully online with eight-week sessions, and possibly complete the program sooner. There will be two eight-week sessions each semester and the student can take three courses each session. A student beginning in Fall 2017 and taking three classes per session including summer could graduate in Dec. 2018.
“This will not only save time but money,” said Patrick Conroy, chair of Business Studies at Delgado. “These offerings will be ideal for the working adult who needs the flexibility of online classes and wants to complete the degree in as little time as possible.
“We also work with potential students to maximize credit for their prior learning, including classes taken at other schools, and we offer credit exams,” said Conroy.
Delgado Business Studies' accounting and business and management programs are designed for those interested in pursuing a career where a two-year degree can lead to career advancement and success. The department's business administration program is designed to transfer and has articulation agreements with most local universities.
