NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Chamber will host a Women’s Business Alliance Seminar and Happy Hour on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Landry’s Seafood House, 620 Decatur St. Titled “Women: We Carry Things,” the event will focus on laying down unnecessary burdens, figuring out how not to take them on, and how to maintain perspective.
From the press release: “We feel obligated to take care of everything and everyone else, putting ourselves last. We take on projects that we should really say no to. We say yes because we’re afraid to disappoint, afraid people will get mad, afraid we will appear selfish … just afraid! We create a binding mindset where we continue to push ourselves too far, past our limits. So our dreams, goals, ideas get pushed down so far that we don’t even know how to bring them back. “
The speaker, Deanna Causey, is the creator of “Soul Sayers,” a podcast about feminine healing and growth.
