GRAY, La. — The Danos Foundation is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations that help solve community challenges where the company and employees live and work. The deadline for organizations to submit an application is August 31.
“We are proud to live out our company purpose of solving big challenges for our communities through the work of the Danos Foundation,” said Owner Mark Danos. “The foundation has already made an impact in our communities, and we look forward to serving more organizations as the foundation grows.”
Established in 2017, the Danos GIVES arm of the foundation has donated $39,750 this year to nine organizations who applied for grants in 2017. The foundation is encouraging 501(c)3 or 170(b) non-profit organizations that benefit education, healthcare, environmental or welfare initiatives in the areas where the company conducts business to apply for a grant. Awards will be presented January 2019.
Danos GIVES is funded by employee contributions along with support provided by the company. Interested groups should visit the foundation’s website, www.danos.com/foundation, to learn more about the grant application process and submit an online application by 11:59 p.m. on August 31.
