Culture Collision 7 At The WWII Museum Tomorrow

NEW ORLEANS – Culture Collision 7, the annual, one-night-only, happy-hour to kick off New Orleans’ vibrant cultural season, will take place Wednesday, September 2, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the National WWII Museum, U.S. Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center.

         Attendees are asked to enter at 1043 Magazine St.

         The artistic celebration and schmoozing event is free and open to the public, and will feature nearly 70 local nonprofit visual and performing arts organizations, happy hour specials and free giveaways.

         There’s something for everyone at Culture Collision, from unlimited networking and season announcements to exclusive promotions.

         Live performances will be provided by select organizations including the New Orleans Ballet Association, New Orleans Volunteer Orchestra, Caribbean Carnival/ Friends of Culture, Loyola University New Orleans’ Opera Program and The National WWII Museum’s Victory Belles.

         The event also features complimentary food, cash bars and a free drawing.

         Founded in 2008, Culture Collision was created to provide New Orleans’ arts and culture organizations with a collective voice, as well as a platform for collaboration and promotion.

         Culture Collision 7 is hosted by WWNO and sponsored by DEVENEY, New Orleans & Me, The National WWII Museum and Dirty Coast.

         It is organized by the Arts Council of New Orleans, DEVENEY, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, New Orleans Ballet Association, New Orleans Opera Association, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Southern Rep and WWNO.

         Paid parking will be available in the corner lot at Magazine Street and Andrew Higgins. Street parking and additional, non-museum pay lots are also located throughout the neighborhood.
