NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans-based Crescent Canna said it has sold its millionth can of Crescent 9 THC Seltzer.
Launched in New Orleans during the 2023 Carnival season, Crescent 9 THC Seltzer is sold in bars, music venues, convenience stores and groceries across the state.
“Alcohol is fun to drink, but as everyone knows, it comes with some not-so-fun side effects,” said David Reich, chief marketing officer of Crescent Canna, in a press release. “As more and more consumers look for nonalcoholic options, Crescent 9 is meeting demand as the most fun and satisfying alcohol alternative on the market. We are thrilled to achieve this milestone during Dry January, but we’re only just getting started.”
Crescent Canna brags that its THC seltzer is “alcohol-free, naturally flavored, low in calories, and infused with premium cannabis extracts. Like alcohol, it has fast-acting, euphoric effects, making it the perfect way to enjoy a buzz without the booze – and without the hangover.” It is made with federally legal hemp-derived delta-9 THC.
The company said a recent survey of its customers shows that more than two-thirds of them have reduced their consumption of alcoholic beverages in favor of THC-infused products.
Crescent 9 is currently available in three flavors and potencies: Ginger Lemonade (5 mg THC), Tropical (6 mg THC), and High-Potency Strawberry Lemonade (50 mg THC). New flavors and potencies are set to be released later this year.
“We’re excited to be expanding the Crescent 9 THC Seltzer line and to continue offering highly satisfying, low-calorie, alcohol-free beverages to adults nationwide,” said Crescent Canna CEO Joe Gerrity. “Stay tuned for new recipes and collaborations inspired by our roots in the Big Easy.”
