ABITA SPRINGS, La. — On March 22, the Covington-based company 4D Life will release its first line of sports drinks. The first two flavors of 4D RTD are piña colada and raspberry lemonade. Both will be available online and are coming to local grocery stores and fitness centers soon.
4D Life has partnered with Abita Brewing Co. to manufacture the non-alcoholic products at the brewers’ Abita Springs facility.
“Our story has always been one of unwavering commitment to the local athletic community, and we are excited to introduce our product to the wider community with the launch of our ready-to-drink cans,” said Jason Navarro, founder and CEO at 4D Life, in a press release. “Partnering with another Louisiana-based company like Abita to can the product just made sense. I’ve always loved their product, and I know that the natural artesian water they use is going to taste better and be healthier resulting in an overall better product.”
“We are thrilled to have 4D canning their product with us,” said Bryant Hauck of Abita. “Our vision when we expanded our capacity was to have reputable local brands like 4D be able to use our space when we aren’t, and this is the perfect use.”
Navarro is a former collegiate and professional athlete who played football and baseball at Tulane University. He also played for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He founded 4D Life in 2012.
“As a traveling athlete, remembering to take multiple supplements per day was impossible. I developed 4D as a one-product solution to that,” said Navarro. “Our new product is great not only for athletes but anyone who wants to stay active or increase productivity without succumbing to the unhealthy ingredients found in other energy drinks.”
4D products contain multiple vitamins and caffeine.
