NEW ORLEANS — On Thursday, May 10, Covington Behavioral Health Hospital will host “Mental Health, it’s OK to talk about it” from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. at the Tchefuncta Country Club.
With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, the committee at Covington Behavioral Health Hospital decided to host a luncheon to call awareness about mental health in and around the workplace. The luncheon will feature panelists focusing on different areas of mental health.
One in five Americans live with mental illness, conditions that affect people during their prime working years. It’s a stigma not often addressed, but it can have a tremendous effect on workplace behavior and performance. Mental health is essential to everyone’s overall health and well-being.
The facilitator of the event will be Executive Director of NAMI St. Tammany Nick Richard.
