The work of councils largely impacts the HBA on the local level, but occasionally some of our members stand out on the national level. That was certainly the case in 2017.
The Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADREs) are presented each year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers to local remodelers councils and individuals whose work at the local level exemplifies the best practices of the remodeling industry. Rolf Parelius, CAPS, CGR, CGP, CPD, Viking Construction Services, LLC, was recognized as the Outstanding Council Chair, and Lauren Galliano, Director of Membership & Industry Relations at HBAGNO, was recognized as the Outstanding Council Coordinator.
Additionally, Jo Ann Kostik, Interior Designer, stood out to the National Professional Women in Building Council for her contributions to the group. Jo Ann was asked to serve as the national membership chair for PWB 2018.
With one of our members (Randy Noel, MIRM, CGB, CMP) serving as NAHB’s 2018 Chairman of the Board, the local association in New Orleans is well-represented on the national scene, and constantly looking for ways to bring value to the members. Members are encouraged to join a council and find out how to get the most out of HBAGNO membership!
