Please note the following message from the LMR VTS on the dredging operations at Mile 100 with the Port of New Orleans’ cutterhead dredge NED REED.
"Dredging operations will commence in the vicinity of MM100 lower Nashville Ave, VTS New Orleans strongly advises all vessels ensure that we maintain a slow bell and no overtaking from MM99-MM101. For further information contact Vessel Traffic Control on VHF Ch.12 or at (504)365-2514.
The timeline includes a proposal to start dredging on site tomorrow morning at 0700 hours and work until 1800 hours. The Port believes the dredging can be completed by Friday afternoon."
