NEW ORLEANS – The law firm of Adams and Reese announced the election of two New Orleans attorneys to the partnership. David C. Coons and David M. Stein, both members of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, were promoted to partner on January 1, 2016.
Coons joined Adams and Reese in 2009. He primarily handles contract, unfair competition and related business disputes. He also represents developers and business operators before executive branch and legislative entities. Coons also serves as an Assistant Examiner for Business Entities and Negotiable Instruments for the Louisiana Committee on Bar Admissions. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wake Forest University, Coons received his Juris Doctor degree and diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
Stein joined Adams and Reese in 2008. He focuses his practice in a variety of areas including complex commercial litigation, toxic tort, medical malpractice defense and intellectual property matters. He is also a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law as well as Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the Tulane University School of Engineering.
