NEW ORLEANS — The Women's Business Resource Center & Contractor's Resource Center will be hosting a Construction Bid Prep Workshop on Wednesday, April 18 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the South Central Louisiana Technical College, Room A300, 181 Regala Park Road, Reserve, LA 70084.
Understanding your numbers and margins is critical to ensuring profitability and increasing capacity in your organization. Accuracy in formulating the bid proposal is crucial to getting the job and even more important to your bottom line.
This course will highlight how to create a scope sheet that itemizes inclusions/exclusions of the job, which will ensure your bid proposal will net a profit for your business. Attendees will be assisted in understanding how to effectively utilize the following project components in the bidding process:
- Profit Margins
- Labor Burden
- Overhead
- Taxes on Materials
