NEW ORLEANS – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu joined City officials and business leaders to celebrate completion of the $8.3 million North Galvez Street Roadway Reconstruction Project in the Lower Ninth Ward.
The project included removal of the existing roadway; installation of new drainage, sewer and waterlines beneath the roadway; as well as new reinforced concrete roadway.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu, City Officials and Lower Ninth Ward Business Leaders convened at Burnell’s Lower Ninth Ward Market, 2036 Caffin Ave., for the 1:30 p.m. announcement.
