Collins Promoted To Vice President At Gambel Communications

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans based public relations firm Gambel Communications announced Amy Boyle Collins has been promoted to vice president of Gambel Communications, effective immediately. 

         Collins joined Gambel in 2014 and most recently held the position of director of strategy. As vice president, Collins leads strategy and business development and assists with management of the firm. Collins is an established leader in advancing philanthropy in Greater New Orleans. She was recently named a Top Female Achiever by New Orleans Magazine.

         “Amy is a seasoned communications professional with deep roots in the region,” said Betsie Gambel, president of Gambel Communications.  “Her extensive experience in marketing, public relations and fundraising initiatives makes her well-suited for her new role as vice president.”

         Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Loyola University New Orleans. She received her Master’s in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communications. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University New Orleans and Tulane University School of Continuing Studies. Collins was an inaugural fellow of the Norman C. Francis Leadership Institute in 2013. She graduated from the Institute of Politics at Loyola University in 2010 and New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) in 2015.

         Collins has always been active as a volunteer in New Orleans. She began Beignet Fest this year to raise money and awareness for children with developmental delays. The funds raised will go to a foundation she and her husband, Sherwood Collins, established called the Tres Doux Foundation. Collins also serves the community through involvement with the Morris Jeff Community School and on the board of Lafitte Greenway. She is a former board member for New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA), Committee for a Better New Orleans, Dress for Success, International Association of Business Communicators, Ad Club of New Orleans, YLC and the Catholic Youth Ministry Office of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She is currently the immediate past-president of American Fundraising Professionals and the incoming chair of the Women’s Professional Council.
