HOUSTON – Coats Rose, P.C. announces the addition of four attorneys to the firm’s Houston and New Orleans offices.
Jarett Dillard and Aaron J. Hurd join Coats Rose’s construction and surety section in the New Orleans and Houston Offices respectively, and Samantha Owens and Justin T. Scott join the litigation section in the Houston office.
• Dillard is an associate in the construction and surety section in the Houston office. His practice is focused on construction, surety, real estate property, and litigation. Dillard’s experience includes representing clients involved in construction disputes arising in both domestic and international affairs, as well as handling various material and mechanic’s lien filings throughout multiple states.
• Hurd is an associate in the construction and surety section in the New Orleans office. His practice is focused on construction and surety litigation and business, insurance, and products liability defense litigation. He has experience handling appellate matters and representing clients in class and mass action proceedings in both state and federal courts.
• Owens is an associate in the construction and surety and litigation sections in the Houston office. Her practice includes eminent domain litigation, commercial litigation and personal injury law, including premises liability products liability, automobile /trucking accidents and construction defect claims. She has experience in insurance defense, as well as business formation and conversion of corporations, limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Prior to joining the firm, Owens was Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Attorney General’s office.
• Scott is an associate in the general and commercial litigation practice group in the Houston office. He represents oil and gas service companies, oil and gas operators, and heavy equipment manufacturers and dealers. He has a broad knowledge base related to the litigation challenges presented to such clients. His practice also includes personal injury litigation.
