City To Celebrate Rededication, Reopening Of Moonwalk

NEW ORLEANS — Today, April 11, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join representatives from the French Market Corporation, the New Orleans Building Corporation, and French Quarter Festivals Inc. to celebrate the rededication and reopening of the Moonwalk. The $3.3 million project includes additional shade trees and native plant materials, enhanced walking surface, new lighting, and improved connection from the city to the river with prominence at Washington Artillery Park. This improved Moonwalk is a key phase of the soon-to-be 3.2 miles of contiguous space from Spanish Plaza to Crescent Park.
