City Hall Closed For Thanksgiving Holiday

NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans announced City Hall will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

         Emergency personnel will operate as normal and will not be affected by this closure, City reps said.

         City Hall will resume normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 28.

         There will be no trash or recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, for residents outside of the French Quarter and Downtown Development District. Those residents will have their trash collected Monday, Nov. 28, and their recycling collected Thursday, Dec. 1.

         Residents in the French Quarter and Downtown Development District will have regular trash collection on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, but will not have regular recycling collection that day. Glass will be collected Thursday, Dec. 1. Papers, plastics and small metals will be collected Tuesday, Nov. 29.
