City Celebrates Opening Of New, State-Of-The-Art New Orleans Coroner’s Office, EMS Headquarters

NEW ORLEANS – Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join New Orleans Coroner Dr. Jeffrey Rouse, EMS Director Dr. Jeff Elder, Councilmembers, FEMA and City and State officials today at 2929/3001 Earhart Blvd, at S. Claiborne Ave., at 2:20 p.m., for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new, state-of-the-art New Orleans Coroner’s Office and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Headquarters in the B.W. Cooper neighborhood.

         This $14.8 million joint complex is fully storm-resilient facility. Both the New Orleans Coroner’s Office and EMS Headquarters were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
