MANDEVILLE, LA – The St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation (STEDF)’s Workforce Development Series will resume on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Area business leaders interested in or involved with workforce development in St. Tammany are invited to attend.
The Fall 2016 sessions of the Workforce Development Series—underwritten by Chevron—will share relevant workforce development information regarding St. Tammany, the Greater New Orleans region and the state of Louisiana with business leaders, community representatives and economic development partners in the area.
“St. Tammany Parish is home to our Gulf of Mexico Business Unit and we are committed to economic development in the area,” said Leah Brown, Chevron Greater Gulf of Mexico Public Affairs Manager. “This series is an opportunity for leaders to discuss the workforce development challenges facing our community, as well as find out more about local opportunities. We’re looking forward to a successful event.”
Ashley Cangelosi Llewellyn, development director for STEDF, said, “We hope this series will increase your knowledge of workforce opportunities, connect you to resources for workforce enhancement and training and provide insight about the future needs and trends of the workforce in our region.”

• Sept. 21: STEM Education and Pathways
• Oct. 12: Maritime
