NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee, led by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and the New Orleans Saints, has recognized Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit as a Founding Partner, sponsoring the Super Bowl LIX Host Committee Ambassador Program. The announcement was officially made by Chevron at the opening day press event for the 2024 French Quarter Festival, which is also sponsored by the company.
The Host Committee is tasked with recruiting, training, and organizing the Super Bowl’s thousands of volunteer Ambassadors who are essential to New Orleans’ effort. Chevron’s support is part of the company’s continued commitment to positively impact the Greater New Orleans community.
“People are at the center of everything we do to meet energy demand in affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner ways,” said Leah Brown, public affairs manager of Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. “As the Human Energy Company, we are proud to join the Super Bowl Host Committee as the Volunteer Program Sponsor and thank the thousands of ambassadors who will lend a helping hand and make our visitors feel welcome.”
“Our home team needs you to join the Host Committee and Chevron’s efforts to show why we’re the most hospitable city in the world,” said New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson. “Welcoming guests is what we do, and we’re calling on our dedicated fans locally – and beyond – to serve as a volunteer Ambassador.”
The Host Committee is dedicated to creating a unique and memorable Super Bowl LIX experience for the hundreds of thousands of fans who flock to the city for the Super Bowl. These efforts are supported by founding partners like Entergy and Chevron, official medical provider Ochsner, and other Host Committee partners, including Louisiana Fish Fry, Pan American Life Insurance, Freeport McMoran, the City of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana, New Orleans & Company, and the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund.
“It speaks volumes that Chevron is joining Entergy as a Founding Partner of the Host Committee to welcome the NFL and hundreds of thousands of guests to our city in ten short months,” said Super Bowl LIX Host Committee Chair and Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Entergy Marcus Brown. “We thank Chevron and all our partner organizations for dedicating their time, talents and resources to the success of Super Bowl LIX.”
Registration is now open to applicants age 18 and up. Volunteers will need to pass a background check and will receive role-specific training once assigned. Interested applicants may apply here.
