Chef John Besh, Developer James Maurin Get Tulane Honor

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Celebrity chef John Besh and commercial real estate developer James Maurin will be honored by Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business at the annual Tulane Council of Entrepreneurs Award Gala on Thursday.

         NOLA.com/ The Times-Picayune’s Jed Lipinski reports Besh will be named the Tulane Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year, an award that highlights those who use entrepreneurial methods to address social problems.

         Maurin, who received an MBA from Tulane in 1972, will be named Tulane Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year, an award given for service to the community combined with a history of entrepreneurial success.
