Charles Divins Joins WDSU News This Morning

New Orleans, La., October 20, 2014 – Today, WDSU announced that Charles Divins will be joining Randi Rousseau effective October 27 as an anchor of WDSU News This Morning.  A native of Dallas, Texas, Charles comes to New Orleans by way of Orlando, where he was co-host of “The Daily Buzz,” a nationally syndicated morning news and entertainment program. 

“We’re delighted to welcome Charles to the WDSU family,” said WDSU President and General Manager Joel Vilmenay, “He’s going to be a great addition to our news team.”

For his part, Divins is thrilled to be coming to New Orleans and looks forward to immersing himself into the city’s unique culture.  In his spare time, he's an avid photographer and enjoys running marathons.

“Mornings set the tone for the entire day, and Randi and Charles will strike that perfect chord with viewers,” said WDSU News Director Jonathan Shelley.

WDSU also announced that Sula Kim, who has been an anchor on WDSU News This Morning since 2012, will join Camille Whitworth to anchor WDSU News at 4:00.

WDSU News This Morning airs weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
