Jefferson Chamber of Commerce President Ruth Lawson was named one of the Top Female Achievers in New Orleans Magazine’s May 2022 publication. Each year, New Orleans Magazine features women who are making a difference across the community. Each of the 11 Top Female Achievers spotlighted have not only overcome challenges, but have been examples of inspiration, innovation and leadership for the entire city.
Others named to the noteworthy list were Swin Cash (New Orleans Pelicans), Braithe Tidwell (Brennan’s Restaurant), Anneliese Singh, Ph.D., L.P.C. (Tulane University), Sabrina Short (NOLAvate Black), Jami Attenberg (novelist), Lisa Sullivan, Ph.D. (University of Holy Cross), Kristi Trail (Pontchartrain Conservancy), Kristin Swanson Scott (Swanson Insurance Agency), Shelina Davis (Louisiana Public Health Institute), and Lori Jackson (Urban League of Louisiana).
On Wednesday, December 14, the Jefferson Chamber received a Proclamation at the Jefferson Parish Council Meeting commemorating its 25th anniversary.
