NEW ORLEANS – Chaffe McCall, L.L.P. announced Brent A. Talbot and Ivan M. Rodriguez have been re-elected to the management committee of this southeast-based law firm.
Brent A. Talbot, who has been with Chaffe McCall since 1988, serves as Practice Area Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and is a member of its Business Intake and Development Committees. Ivan M. Rodriguez is a partner in the firm’s Houston office, where he has over 20 years of executive and legal experience in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Insurance, and Admiralty & Maritime law.
Their election to these positions was confirmed on June 15, by a vote of the partnership. “I am honored to have again been selected to continue leading our growing firm,” Ivan Rodriguez said. “I appreciate everyone’s support as we move forward together.”

Talbot and Rodriguez will transition into their leadership roles effective immediately.
Talbot is listed as a Louisiana Super Lawyer, The Best Lawyers in America and in other publications in the areas of Railroad Law, Product Liability Litigation, and Commercial Litigation. He has been named New Orleans Railroad Law “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers. He has extensive experience defending railroads, drug and medical device manufacturers and employers. He has defended the manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical devices, tobacco, tires, furniture, automotive parts and paints, fire-resistant clothing, food products, bicycles, appliances, amusement rides, and petrochemical and agricultural products. Talbot is highly recognized for his professional and civic contributions. Talbot received a J.D. from Tulane University Law School and a B.S. from the University of Alabama.
As manager of Chaffe McCall’s Houston office, Rodriguez serves as regional and national counsel for several clients, and he regularly handles litigation involving foreign entities or arising in foreign jurisdictions. Rodriguez’ practice encompasses a wide array of subjects, with a particular emphasis on matters in the maritime and energy arenas. He has gained widespread recognition for his consistently effective litigation strategies and client service. Chambers USA has lauded him as a “stand out” attorney for his experience in the South American markets. Rodriguez received his J.D. and B.S. from Louisiana State University.
