NEW ORLEANS – More than 600 million copies of Dr. Seuss books have been sold and translated into more than 20 languages.
Tubby & Coo’s Mid-City Book Shop, 631 N. Carrollton Ave., will host a birthday party for Dr. Seuss on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, was born on March 2, 1904. He published 46 children’s books during his lifetime, and he is one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time. Dr. Seuss’s birthday has also been adopted as National Read Across America Day, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.
